1. Your fingernails grow about 3 to 4 times quicker than the toe nails. That is the reason why you find yourself cutting your fingernails more often than you cut your toenails.

2. Your toenails are almost twice as thick as your fingernails. Hence, you find it harder to cut your toenails than your fingernails.

3. In a month, on an average, your fingernails grow about one tenth of an inch and the nail on your middle finger grows the fastest.

4. Of all the nails on your fingers, the thumb nail grows at the slowest pace.

5. If you cut your nails regularly, then they will grow faster.

6. Nails grow faster in warm climates than in cold ones. Hence, you tend to cut your nails more frequently during summer.

7. It is interesting to know that your nails grow quicker during the day than they do at night.

8. When you are young, your nails grow at a faster rate than when you become old.

9. The main component of your nails is same as that of your hair, a type of protein called keratin.

10. Nails grow faster on the hand which is dominant. For instance, if you are left-handed, then the nails on your left hand will grow faster than the ones on the right hand.
